Mac HD Makeup vs. NU Foam

I call this "Ursula Hand", like the sea witch from The Little Mermaid. I brought my kit to work at Motor City last night and did some airbrush. If anyone is familiar with the dish sanitizer NU Foam, they know how powerful it is and that people aren't suppose to touch the concentrated tablets, not to mention how drying and painful it can leave one's hand after a shift. This hand was in and out of the NU Foam sanitizer sink nearly forty times at this point -- the makeup would not come off! The pink spot near my knuckle is where I took off several layers of skin in a keg changing accident only moments before. It's bruised now but looks pretty cool since the makeup still won't come all the way off.

This is Basic Skeleton

Basic Skeleton makes rare appearances. Basic Skeleton leaves its closet for celebrations only. When I get an A in College Algebra/Trigonometry, Basic Skeleton will have a "skeletons only" party. All are invited.

Killer Makeup

Since my URL is Killer-Makeup, I want to add some photos of my friends made-up as different types/genre of Killers. I'll be seeing S. L. today. I will find out what type of killer she wants be... Dexter, Patrick Bateman, and Hitler are out of this challenge as those folks simply aren't challenging.

Six Weeks!

I have not posted in six weeks. I have lots to report and even more to gloss over so I'll go ahead and gloss over everything. Not really. Over Thanksgiving I found myself in Dhaka, Bangladesh. I did some makeup over there, mostly my own, and on a couple of friends, Lauren and Mira. Since coming home I find it difficult to shop at H&M due to the fact that most of their clothes are made in Bangladesh, and if sold to me in Bangladesh, they'd be a heck of a lot cheaper than in America. Hence, I can't force myself to pay "american cheap" on those clothes anymore because it feels too expensive. I sprained my ankle on my first day in Dhaka but I was not deterred from enjoying the city.

Upon returning to NYC from Bangladesh, due to my jet-lag it has been difficult to readjust. It may also have something to do with the weather's attempt to turn into winter, it is flip-flopping from spring-winter-winter-spring on alternating days, even though Christmas is in four days. This strange weather is making my already sensitive skin, very confused. I had to go get one of my favorite sensitive skin products; a Balancing Infusion that Aveda makes. An oil that costs just over $20 for 10 ml, which lasts me about a year.

A few days ago I worked on a photo shoot for a bag company with friends, Jason (the photographer) and Lacy (of Tease Salon). It was bags, makeup, bags, makeup, bags and then some more bags for nine hours. The models were good girls and it was fun to be working with friends.

So Many things have been a blur since I last posted, such as, I don't know if I posted any of the professional L. Flook shots from the Oddities shoot or if I have shown off any of the amazing photos of my "brides" yet. Maybe I'll save those for the website. Everything is blurry. I think it's this holiday business that makes it this way. There is way too much retail hustle and bustle, too much pressure, not enough money to fulfill the retail dreams I have for my friends and family... all I really want for Christmas is a giant snow storm to stop it all; BIGGER THAN LAST YEAR.

11/6/11

On Sunday I was fortunate enough to attend the De Lilllo - La Grasta Wedding in Monteville, NJ. I have never been to a wedding with more food, nor have I attended a wedding where the guests could roast marshmallows over a fire pit on a beach, until now. I HAD SO MUCH FUN BURNING MARSHMALLOWS AND STICKS. As if that fun with the fire wasn't enough we got to light lanterns on fire so that they would float off into the darkened sky. The crisp November air combined with the moonlight and lanterns was so magical that I half expected Death Eaters to show up. I guess since I was already there they didn't need to. I love mixing fire with dessert, but the smores were not dessert! When I returned indoors I found that there were dessert plates on our table, intended for the table, and I ate two of them... and two pieces of wedding cake. I even got to have treats to go -- today it is four days after and I am still eating m&ms with Rose and Sergio's faces on 'em; somehow that makes them more delicious!

Bought Some Cotton T-shirts Today 11/2/11

Then I saw Parker Posey outside of the store... AND THEN I TIMIDLY TOLD PARKER POSEY THAT I LOVE HER AND THEN PARKER POSEY TOOK A PHOTO OF US!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! However, the photo happened after I walked half way down the street and called my sister screaming "WHAT SHOULD I DO-WHAT SHOULD I DO!!!!!!???". Maria said: "I'm sure she'll be happy to do it". As scared as I was, I then went back and pleaded for the photo. SHE WAS HAPPY TO DO IT! I LOVE HER EVEN MORE. Now I'm crying. The End.
